Bank account

To open a bank account in Switzerland, you need a residence permit. Postfinance is an exception. There you can also open an account without authorization, if you pay a monthly fee of CHF 25. Compare the fees for account management, ATM and credit cards of various banks before you open an account. Depending on your needs or your assets, the fees differ significantly. Some banks charge foreigners a deposit when opening an account. You get the deposit back when you close your account.
