Das im Jahre 1907 gegründete Physikalisch-Meteorologische Observatorium Davos (PMOD/WRC) befasst sich mit der Erforschung der Sonne und deren Strahlung. Dazu werden hier in Davos die entsprechenden Messinstrumente entwickelt und hergestellt, welche sowohl auf der Erde als auch im Weltraum eingesetzt werden. Als Weltstrahlungszentrum haben wir zudem die Aufgabe, Referenzmessgeräte zu betreiben, auf welche sich alle meteorologischen Strahlungsmessungen weltweit stützen.

Since its establishment in 1907, the Physikalisch-Meteorologisches Observatorium Davos (PMOD) has been studying the influence of solar radiation on the Earth's climate. At the request of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the Federal Council decided in 1970 to finance a calibration center for radiation measurement as Switzerland's contribution to the World Weather Monitoring Program of the WMO. Following this decision, the PMOD was commissioned to establish and operate the World Radiation Center (WRC). PMOD/WRC develops and builds radiometers that are among the most accurate in the world, used both on the ground and in space.

Zum Aufbau und zur Durchführung einer neuen populationsbasierten Kohortenstudie suchen wir eine:n erfahrene:n Epidemiolog:in (m/w/d) mit ausgewiesener methodischer Expertise im Bereich gross angelegter bevölkerungsbezogener Studien. Für diese Studie in den Alpenregionen sollen gesundheitsbezogene Besonderheiten der Bevölkerung sowie deren Ursachen identifiziert werden.

CK-CARE, Christine Kühne – Center for Allergy Research and Education, is part of the Kühne Foundation's medical programs and conducts research and education in the field of allergies. Since mid-2017, the CK-CARE research network has been building one of the largest international atopic dermatitis and allergy registries (data and biobank). Renowned research teams are working together with cooperation partners across borders to remedy deficits in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of people with allergies, thereby making an important contribution to the long-term well-being of patients.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly driven Research Scientist to contribute to HARMONY, a consortium project within the “Translationale Medizin an Grenzflächen” (TMG) network. HARMONY aims to develop microbiome-derived metabolites into effective preventive and therapeutic strategies for allergic diseases by strengthening epithelial barriers and modulating inflammation. The successful candidate will be based at the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF), University of Zurich, in the group of PD Dr. Milena Sokolowska, and will work closely with Prof. Christoph Messner of the Precision Proteomics Center Davos, SIAF. Employment will be through TMG.
