The Brain and Trauma Foundation Graubünden/Switzerland conducts research in the fields of neurobiology, biomarkers, neuroalgorithms, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, neurophysiology, arousal and vigilance, and develops examination methods. All research activities of the GTSG must directly benefit patients. Last year, for example, research was conducted on the topic of vigilance in sustained attention in collaboration with the Chair of Neuropsychology at the University of Zurich. The work resulted in a method for measuring changes in vigilance and thus signs of fatigue in patients. The next research priorities are to determine the content of vigilance values and their validity and reliability. Work is also being done on the integration of microstates during relaxed rest and during an attention test.
