Cardio-CARE

Cardio-CARE at Medizincampus Davos, Switzerland, is funded by the Kühne Foundation. The main project of Cardio-CARE deals with the analysis of 9000 whole genome sequences, making it the largest project of its kind in the German-speaking countries. The main goals of this project are

- To achieve a better understanding of the genetic basis of cardiovascular diseases,

- to improve the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and

- to identify drug targets.

This multidisciplinary project benefits from the intensive collaboration between the Kühne Foundation and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE).
