Physikalisch-Meteorologisches Observatorium Davos und Weltstrahlungszentrum
SCOPE OF THE WORKSHOP
The Swiss National SCOSTEP committee is pleased to announce the 8th Swiss SCOSTEP workshop to be held from November 26-27, 2026 at the PMOD in Davos (Switzerland).
This workshop aims at bringing together scientists with an interest in solar-terrestrial science. It encourages a lively exchange between scientists from all fields within solar-terrestrial physics to identify synergies, foster collaborations, and strengthen the Swiss solar-terrestrial community.
We will start at 11 am on Nov 26 to enable same-day travel and will conclude the workshop in the early afternoon of Nov 27.
Format
The workshop will consist of two invited talks plus contributed presentations (oral or poster). It covers the following topics:
1. Fundamental solar physics
2. Solar variability in the past and future
3. Sun-Earth relations in proxies, observations, and model simulations
4. Future (space) missions/observations
In-person participation is highly encouraged and recommended. A remote option will only be available on a best-effort basis.
