On the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM, researchers and anyone curious about science meet in the foyer of Kulturplatz Davos. Researchers Beer offers an informal setting to meet, exchange ideas and ask questions.

Special Guests

On October 6, 2026, four young researchers from very different fields will join us: Naïma Bouti, Claire Chabot, Anna-Sophia Egger-Hörschinger and Lydia Knappe. All four will also present their work at the «Graubünden forscht 2026» congress in Davos on November 6 and 7.

In conversation with Barbara Haller Rupf, they will talk about their research, their personal career paths and the questions that fascinate them most.

Naïma Bouti works and conducts research in complex postpartum rehabilitation, with a focus on the treatment and rehabilitation of women following complex birth injuries.

Claire Chabot, a PhD candidate at the AO Research Institute Davos, studies bone fractures and investigates why they fail to heal properly in 5–10% of patients.

Anna-Sophia Egger-Hörschinger, a chemist and postdoctoral researcher at SIAF, studies the interactions between nutrition, the microbiome and the human body and their role in common diseases.

Lydia Knappe, a geographer and climate and avalanche researcher at SLF, is testing new measurement devices that provide insights into snow properties and can help improve our understanding of avalanche risk.

The conversation will also explore what the four researchers expect from «Graubünden forscht 2026» and what it is like, as an early-career researcher, to present one’s work to a wider audience.
