Additional property expenses

On top of your fixed rent, you will have to pay additional property expenses (for example, water, garden maintenance, snow removal). In Switzerland, the additional property taxes can be charged in different ways.

a) “Inklusive”: The additional costs are included in the rental price.

b) “Pauschal”: In addition to the monthly rent, you pay a monthly flat-rate.

c) “Akontozahlung”: You make a monthly advance payment for additional costs. At the end of the year, you will receive a final statement. The statement will tell you, whether you still owe money or if you will receive a reimbursement.
