The original and diverse mountain landscape around Piz Sardona, in the border region between the cantons of Grisons, St. Gallen, and Glarus, offers a vivid and globally unique opportunity to experience and study the characteristics of mountain formation. The 330 km2 area has great educational and scientific value.
The office maintains good relations with regional and national research institutions. Bachelor's and Master's theses are supervised on an ongoing basis, and other research work is promoted, coordinated and documented. A scientific advisory board provides technical support and ensures contact with the research institutions.
