ibW Höhere Fachschule Südostschweiz
The ibW Höhere Fachschule Südostschweiz is one of the leading higher technical colleges in Switzerland for the further education of practice-oriented specialists and managers. To ensure that our students are fit for the future, we continuously invest in the optimization of learning content, teaching methods, competence development and practice transfer.
With more than 100 recognized educational programs - at the levels of Höhere Fachschule HF, eidg. Fachausweise, eidg. diplomas and association certificates - in around 30 professional fields, ibW is the largest continuing education institution in the non-university sector in southeastern Switzerland. Around 1,300 students and 3,500 course participants continue their education at the ibW each year in order to advance professionally and personally.
The ibW Höhere Fachschule is an institution of higher vocational education. It is therefore located in the so-called tertiary B area and thus ensures that the findings from the areas of basic and applied research are transferred into practice. Among other things, the ibW operates an IT and a wood technology center as well as two specialist offices.
