Blockchain-Technologie im Sport

University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons

Sport is under increasing pressure from commercialisation. New ways of fan engagement and monetisation are therefore required. Blockchain technology plays a transformative role in this context. It offers opportunities such as the tokenisation of fan participation, the authentication of sports merchandise and experiences via NFTs and the efficient and transparent management of contracts and transfers in professional sports. This event will explore the potential and dangers of blockchain technology in sport and invite reflection on future developments.
