Researchers Beer: Science in front of the camera

Academia Raetica

At the next Researchers Beer on Tuesday, 2 June, at 6.30 pm at Kulturplatz Davos, the focus will be on science communication. The guest will be Samer Angelone, who holds doctorates in both biology and film studies.

In conversation with Barbara Haller Rupf from Academia Raetica, the Swiss-Italian-Syrian filmmaker and scientist will speak about filmmaking, storytelling, and how research can be communicated in a clear and engaging way.

Angelone teaches filmmaking at several Swiss universities, at ETH Zurich and at Academia Raetica. In his debut film Lupi nostri, he explores the facts and emotions surrounding the return of the wolf to northern Italy.

The talk takes place in English.

After the Researchers Beer, Lupi nostri will be screened at the cinema.
