On the first Tuesday of the month at 18:30, scientists and anyone with a thirst for knowledge meet at the “Researchers Beer” in the foyer of the Kulturplatz Davos to socialize and exchange ideas.
Special guest
Academia Raetica welcomes PD Dr. David Niederseer as a special guest. Since summer 2023, the sports cardiologist and researcher has been driving the expansion of cardiovascular research and sports cardiology at the Hochgebirgsklinik Davos. Sport and exercise are a key aspect of cardiac rehabilitation. However, athletes also need a competent contact person for heart complaints or diseases - this is where sports cardiology can help. The Hochgebirgsklinik aims to offer a comprehensive range of 'sport and heart' services in the sports town of Davos for all performance and age levels, for healthy people as well as for people with heart disease. The cardiology team at the Hochgebirgsklinik Davos, headed by Jan Vontobel, not only wants to set new standards in clinical care, but also further strengthen research in this area. The scientific team is planning several ambitious projects, which David Niederseer will talk about at the Researchers Beer.
