Researchers Beer - Casual conversations about research for all

Academia Raetica

Location: Kulturplatz Davos, Promenade 58c, Davos Platz
Start: 6:30 p.m.

Graubünden has a diverse and an internationally well-connected scientific landscape. The Davos research institutes, which employ more than 300 researchers, are part of this. In addition, there is a large number of research-interested locals and guests who populate the “Science City”.

At the “Researchers Beer” in the foyer of the Kulturplatz Davos, scientists and citizens with a thirst for knowledge meet at 6:30 pm on the first Tuesday of the month to exchange ideas and get to know each other. To each “Researchers Beer” the Academia Raetica invites a person from its scientific network, who talks about their research in Graubünden in a moderated conversation as well as a short presentation and shares their knowledge with the audience.

On November 7, Academia Raetica welcomes Manuela Brunner as "Special Guest". She heads the Hydrology & Climate Impacts in Mountain Regions Group at the SLF and is an assistant professor at ETH Zurich. She will talk about how flood and drought events are changing with climate change and the direct influence of humans through reservoir management.

Barbara Haller Rupf, Director of Academia Raetica, will host the talk.

The event will be held in English.
