Researchers Beer - Casual conversations about research for all

Academia Raetica, Kulturplatz Davos

Location: Kulturplatz Davos, Promenade 58c, Davos Platz
Start: 6:30 p.m.

Graubünden has a diverse and an internationally well-connected scientific landscape. The Davos research institutes, which employ more than 300 researchers, are part of this. In addition, there is a large number of research-interested locals and guests who populate the “Science City”.

At the “Researchers Beer” in the foyer of the Kulturplatz Davos, scientists and citizens with a thirst for knowledge meet at 6:30 pm on the first Tuesday of the month to exchange ideas and get to know each other. To each “Researchers Beer” the Academia Raetica invites a person from its scientific network, who talks about their research in Graubünden in a moderated conversation as well as a short presentation and shares their knowledge with the audience.

On February 7, the Academia Raetica welcomes Professor Andreas Bitzer as a “special guest”. He teaches mechanical engineering and optics at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons. At the “Researchers Beer” he will present a robotic assistance system designed to facilitate future longline helicopter rescue missions.

The event will be held in English.
