Valérie Favre Accola

Board member

"My vision – research and development should be mentioned in the same breath as tourism as the new economic engine of Graubünden."

Valérie Favre Accola grew up in the cantons of Fribourg and Graubünden. She studied German literature, Germanic philology, and ethics as well as contemporary philosophy in Fribourg (lic. phil.). After completing her university degree, she worked at the Center for Test Development and Diagnostics (ZTD) and the International Institute for Management in Telecommunications (iimt) at the University of Fribourg in various roles, most recently as Marketing Director.

In 2002, shortly before starting her family, she moved back to Davos, where she has been living with her family ever since and is active both professionally and politically. From 2016 to 2020, she was a member of the Davos executive and, in this role, head of the Department of Education & Energy. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Parliament of Graubünden and the Parliamentary Commission for Education and Culture, which she has chaired since 2022. Valérie Favre Accola is also the head of Regional Development Prättigau/Davos. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, whether traveling or in nature.
