Barbara Caderas was born in Walenstadt in 1971. After completing the commercial school in Sargans and a season as a receptionist in a hotel in Ticino, she moved abroad. She worked as a stationary tour guide on Mallorca (Spain), for a German newspaper and finally in a Spanish travel agency. After seven years, she returned to work for Samedan Tourism. After studying journalism and communication at SAL, she worked in PR, communication and marketing departments at various companies such as Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, ABB and Warner Bros. Barbara Caderas also gained experience in migration/integration and in the social sector as an instructor. For a change, she also became a wedding planner and ceremony director. Since February 12, 2024, she has been supporting Academia Raetica as an assistant in the areas of administration and communication.
In her free time, Barbara Caderas enjoys writing poetry and reading. She is passionate about traveling, other cultures and languages as well as nature.
