The Valens Clinic Group is a non-profit foundation specialising in the rehabilitation of patients with functional impairments of the musculoskeletal system and nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, internal oncological, pneumological, psychological and psychosomatic disorders. Inpatient rehabilitation, acute early rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation services are offered at eight locations. Cross-disciplinary and cross-location research ensures the high quality of the rehabilitation services offered by the Valens Clinic Group. The Valens Research Board coordinates research and promotes exchange between stakeholders and cooperation partners (universities, technical colleges and hospitals).
The rehabilitation program at Valens, Walenstadtberg and Chur follows the principles of the ICF classification of the WHO, which strongly promotes an interdisciplinary approach. In addition to the treatment of disorders on a physical level, the therapy also aims at the activity and participation level. At the rehabilitation centers the rehabilitation of in-patients with musculoskeletal disorders, pulmonary, internal, and geriatric diseases follows this concept. The clinic enjoys wide acceptance and international acclaim owing to its research efforts in musculoskeletal and geriatric rehabilitation.
