Rhe researchers at the Swiss Institute of Sports Medicine (SRISM) are focusing on the topic of women and sport/exercise on the one hand, and sports immunology on the other: By investigating the causes of increased susceptibility to infection and symptoms caused by allergies or asthma, the aim is to promote personalised sports medicine and improve health and athletic performance with innovative, tailor-made prevention and treatment options. The SRISM was founded in close cooperation between the sports medicine department of Davos Hospital (Davos Sports & Health) and the Swiss Institute for Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF) in Davos. The international experience and state-of-the-art facilities of the SIAF, including its own biobank, combined with the sports medicine expertise of Davos Sports & Health, provide the ideal basis for cutting-edge research at SRISM.
