A fresh look at ethics in research and scientific integrity

On November 21, Academia Raetica invited experts from various research disciplines to the online Lunch Talk to discuss the meaning of scientific integrity and ethics in research. They presented tools and strategies to raise awareness of ethical principles and scientific integrity across disciplines. The experts gave examples of why and how scientific misconduct happens.

Why are we addressing this topic now? Because ethics in research goes beyond human and animal research and genetics, the Academia Raetica has recently set up an ethics committee for research in Graubünden, intended to assess proposals outside human and animal research and genetics. The event is intended to provide insight into areas of research that we typically do not immediately associate with ethical questions.
