The Davos Course for gastrointestinal surgery offers a diverse program of lectures and practical exercises for surgeons in training. The aim of this course is to grow each participant´s knowledge and to develop and improve their practical skills in safe surgical techniques, both in open and laparoscopic surgery.
Based in Davos, Switzerland, the Davos Course for gastrointestinal surgery has been running for more than 30 years and has become an essential part of the surgeon’s training program. The course is recognised by all European surgical societies from which we have participants – which is over 20 European countries. Every year we welcome around 280 young surgeons and teach them the ‘one safe way’ of surgery. Since our inauguration we have taught this method to over 6000 surgeons.
