Researchers Beer - Casual conversations about research for all

Academia Raetica

Location: Kulturplatz Davos, Promenade 58c, Davos Platz
Start: 6:30 p.m.

Graubünden has a diverse and an internationally well-connected scientific landscape. The Davos research institutes, which employ more than 300 researchers, are part of this. In addition, there is a large number of research-interested locals and guests who populate the “Science City”.

At the “Researchers Beer” in the foyer of the Kulturplatz Davos, scientists and citizens with a thirst for knowledge meet at 6:30 pm on the first Tuesday of the month to exchange ideas and get to know each other. To each “Researchers Beer” the Academia Raetica invites a person from its scientific network, who talks about their research in Graubünden in a moderated conversation as well as a short presentation and shares their knowledge with the audience.

On March 7, Academia Raetica welcomes Sara Dolf-Metzler as special guest. She is an economist and studied business administration and economics at the University of Zurich. Since 2016, Dolf-Metzler has headed the Diversity Unit of the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons and advises the university on the implementation of its mission on equality and diversity.

For example, in the “taskforce futura”, she was responsible for the topic “workplace 4.0” and collaborated to develop concepts for hybrid working. Furthermore, she is involved in various diversity projects, such as the “Diversity Benchmarking for Universities” conducted by swissuniversities.

The event will be held in English.
