Dr. Krzysztof Barczynski, PMOD/WRC

Dr. Krzysztof Barczynski has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich and Physikalisch-Meteorologisches Observatorium Davos/ World Radiation Center (PMOD/WRC) in Davos since January 2020.

He received his BSc and MSc in Astronomy at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Poland). After that, he was a member of the International Max Planck Research School for Solar System Science at the University of Göttingen (Germany). He defended his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Göttingen (Germany) in 2017. Then, he worked as the postdoctoral researcher at the Sorbonne University in Paris and at the Paris Observatory (France).

His work at the Solar Physics group in PMOD/WRC and ETH Zurich focuses on the connection between the dynamic of the solar atmospheric structures and solar wind creation.

After work, he likes walking, biking, photography, train travels and spending time in nature.
