Alexandra Wallimann, PhD, CK-CARE

Alexandra Wallimann grew up in the canton of Obwalden and studied biomedical sciences in Fribourg (bachelor) and Bern (master). For her PhD she moved to Davos in February 2018. Her PhD thesis was a collaboration between the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research SIAF and the AO Research Institute Davos and focused on how gut flora influences bone health. She joined CK-CARE as a PostDoc in October 2022 and is conducting research in the field of atopic dermatitis.

When she is not working, she likes to spend her time in nature and in the mountains, mostly in running shoes, but also on her road bike or cross-country skis.
