Between 1926 and 1973, almost 600 children were taken away from their parents by Pro Juventute Foundation with help from the authorities. About half of these children came from so-called “vagrant families” in Graubünden. The canton had created a separate «vagary care», and research at the psychiatric clinic Waldhaus made the «vagants» a much observed object of investigation of science – with far-reaching consequences.

Sara Galle has publsihed her study.

An event organized by the Association for Cultural Research Graubünden.
